Grant Status - story so far...
With some help from Sean and some more from the internet I've come to believe that not one grant will be available for this project. Not that I've found at this point anyway. Most grants available for the arts have strict requirements for the applicant as well as the types of art eligible for review. This applicant and this project don't seem to meet any of them.

Grants can be a really big pain. Someone suggested I try for one last year for my thesis, but I saw all this paperwork requiring a complete itemization of what I needed for the project, excluding things like travel, phone bills, printing costs, etc. (of course, that was the bulk of what was needed for my thesis), so I gave up.
I'm learning this first hand right now... I even came across a grant program that was pretty easy on the forms and reasons for grants but expected 8% return from all profits made. Sounds more like a business invetment for them rather than a string-free grant. Bleh. Back to the drawing board I guess. I've still got hundreds of pages of recording to go.....
